Frame Repair, Measured to Factory Spec

Podium Body Works straightens frames on an OEM-certified measuring system: the vehicle is leveled, every reference point is measured front to back against the manufacturer’s specs, and the repair is pulled to within factory tolerance, in millimeters. Trucks, unibody cars, and structural collision damage, at both shops.

The approach

Can a bent frame really be fixed?

Usually yes, and safely, when the repair is measured instead of eyeballed. We invested in the OEM measuring system for exactly this reason: so a frame repair is never left to chance or a practiced eye. The car goes on the machine, gets leveled, and every point is measured against the manufacturer’s published dimensions.

What’s out gets pulled back, and the numbers, not opinions, say when it’s right. Frames that measure beyond saving get an honest total-loss conversation instead of a heroic invoice.

How it works

How does the OEM measuring system work?

Think of it as a coordinate map of your exact vehicle, checked live. The manufacturer publishes where every structural point should sit; the machine measures where yours actually sits. The gap between the two is the damage, in millimeters, and here’s the part that separates real frame shops: the measuring system stays on the vehicle through the repair, so every pull is verified as it happens rather than guessed at and checked later.

The repair ends inside factory tolerance or it doesn’t end.

Trucks

Do you repair truck frames?

Yes, constantly; trucks are half this page’s traffic for a reason. Full-frame trucks bend differently than unibody cars and telegraph it differently, most famously as dog tracking, where the rear end runs offset from the front and the truck drives slightly sideways down the road. Work trucks, lifted trucks, and towing rigs all come through here, and the same measure-pull-verify discipline applies, sized for the frame under them.

Warning signs

How do I know my frame is bent?

The car tells you, if you know its language. Dog tracking on trucks. Steering that pulls after an accident. Doors, hood, or tailgate that suddenly don’t close right. Tires wearing unevenly weeks after a “minor” hit. New wind noise where panels no longer meet as designed. Any of these after a collision is a measurement appointment, not a mystery, and the measurement is definitive where symptoms are only suggestive.

It rides along with collision repair teardown when the hit was recent.

Safety

Is a repaired frame safe to drive?

Repaired to factory spec on a measuring system, yes; bent and ignored, no. An out-of-spec frame changes how the car crashes next time, how the airbags time, and how the safety sensors aim, which is why we measure rather than assume, calibrate after structural work, and put our limited lifetime warranty, good for as long as you own the vehicle, on the result.

If a frame can’t come back inside tolerance, we say so and help you through the total-loss decision instead.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Usually yes, safely, pulled to the millimeter on our OEM measuring system against factory specs. Frames beyond tolerance get an honest total-loss conversation.
Often not. Pulling, dog tracking, or uneven tire wear after a hit means stop guessing and get it measured.
It varies with the damage, and measurement tells the truth. The estimate is free, and insurance covers collision-caused frame damage minus your deductible.
Wheel alignment sets the wheels; frame alignment corrects the structure the wheels bolt to. After a real hit, the frame question comes first.
Yes, daily. Full-frame trucks, lifted trucks, and towing rigs, measured and pulled with the same system.
