Collision repair covers everything the accident touched: body panels, bumpers, the structure behind them, paint, glass, and the safety sensors woven through all of it. At Podium that means one shop handles the metal, the frame work, the paint, the glass, and the sensor calibration, so nothing falls between vendors.
The damage you can see is rarely the whole story. Bumpers and fenders hide crushed brackets, bent reinforcements, and disturbed wiring. That is why we never quote a “final” price off a walk-around, and why our process starts with taking things apart.
Every car gets the same four steps: a pre-scan, a full teardown, an insurer-approved repair plan, and the repair itself. First we plug into the vehicle’s computer and read every code, so we know what the accident disturbed electronically before a wrench comes out. Then we do a 100 percent teardown of the damaged area.
During teardown, we circle every damage point with markers. When the insurance adjuster looks at your car, there’s no debate about what we’re asking for; they can see it. Repairs follow the manufacturer’s published procedures. One current example from our shop floor: modern cars with laser-welded roofs must have the whole roof refinished as one piece, because there’s no seam to stop at. Some insurers push shops to tape a line where no line exists. We don’t do that.
Yes. Give us your claim number and the battle is ours from there. We work with every insurance company, and we belong to no insurer’s repair program, by choice. Program shops answer to the program’s numbers. We answer to the repair and to you.
Nearly every claim grows after teardown, because adjusters write the first estimate from the outside of a wrecked car. That growth is called a supplement, and writing and defending supplements is daily work here, not a surprise. Under Texas law, you choose your repair shop; your insurer cannot require you to use theirs. The Texas Department of Insurance publishes plain-language guidance on the claims process, and our own claims guide walks through it in our words. Your deductible is due at pickup, and we tell you that at drop-off, not after.
Wherever we possibly can. On most claims the insurer’s approval controls the parts budget, so we run every part through a price-matching system most shops skip. About 75 to 80 percent of the time, it gets an OEM part onto your car at the price the insurer approved for an aftermarket one. We never use remanufactured parts. The quality is not there, and our name goes on the repair.
Most repairs leave our shop in seven to twelve days, and our internal target is about ten. Two things stretch a job: parts availability and insurer negotiation. Special-order parts add days; back-ordered parts can add weeks, and we tell you the moment we know. Pre-ordering parts and getting approvals right the first time is how we protect your timeline. Small jobs finish faster; a pre-ordered, pre-painted bumper can swap in a single day.
Like the accident never happened, and we expect you to check. Paint is matched by factory code, sprayed on test cards, and blended into the neighboring panels so there is no visible edge. Every safety system the repair touched is calibrated before pickup. The work carries our limited lifetime warranty, good for as long as you own the vehicle.
Upload a few photos of the damage and we will get you a clear, honest estimate. Certified, insurer-independent, and accountable for the repair.
